Share Secure, Encrypted Texts, Videos and More With InnerGroup for iOS
Indie developer Santo Porpiglia has released InnerGroup 2.12, his app for iOS and Android devices that allows a group of invited users to send end-to-end encrypted texts, videos, picture messages, and audio to each other, with no fear of server breaches, spam, or of information falling into the wrong hands.
InnerGroup allows users to start or join invitation only groups that offer the ability to send encrypted messages within the group. No outside parties have access to the information, as it is encrypted from end-to-end. Users don’t have to worry about their email address or other contact information being harvested, as none of that is needed to join a group.
Inner Group offers users enhanced security and privacy:
* Groupies can send each other secure, end-to-end encrypted texts, videos, picture messages, and audio
* No data is stored, collected or sold by InnerGroup and user activity is not tracked – all usage is private to the users devices
Once a post is delivered to the targeted parties, it is automatically deleted form the InnerGroup server. The post then only lives on the device of the “groupies” that received it. Users can delete an individual post, or if the group owner decides to delete a group, all posts are automatically deleted from groupies’ devices.
“We don’t collect or store any personal information to sell, we don’t own the messages and media that users send via InnerGroup, and we don’t have a back door,” said developer Santo Porpiglia. “What’s more, conversations and posts can’t be tracked, intercepted or monitored, and groupies’ address books are never accessed by us or anyone else.”
