The qualitative component – benefiting from the Tabby Awards expertise in judging app and game awards since 2012 – focused on user interface, design, and innovation. The degree of tablet-optimization was also a key factor in the assessment of iPad apps and games. LinkOptimizer for Adobe InDesign Gains Support for Creative Cloud 2019

Zevrix Solutions has released LinkOptimizer 5.2.12, a compatibility update to the company’s workflow automation solution for Adobe InDesign. LinkOptimizer automates complex image manipulation tasks and allows to significantly reduce the size of InDesign links, save processing time and reduce production costs.

LinkOptimizer for Adobe InDesign Gains Support for Creative Cloud 2019

The new version makes LinkOptimizer compatible with the recently released InDesign and Photoshop CC 2019, and is offered free of charge to licensed users. The same version of LinkOptimizer can be used with any version of InDesign from CS5 and later. The update also introduces support for the SoftwareKey licensing system which simplifies the software activation process and enables users to easily manage their licenses in a personal online license portal.

LinkOptimizer works automatically with Photoshop to eliminate the excess image data of InDesign links, perform essential image adjustments and convert image formats. For example, with just a click of a button users can:

* Scale and crop images to match their dimensions in InDesign
* Change their resolution to 300 dpi
* Convert RGB images to a CMYK profile
* Resave PNG files as TIFF
* Run a Photoshop action on each image

At the end of processing, LinkOptimizer reimports images to InDesign at 100% in their precise position. As a result, users can save gigabytes of disk space, accelerate document output, reduce job turnaround and cut costs through faster processing.

LinkOptimizer can be purchased from Zevrix website for $259.95 USD (Light version: $179.95) as well as from Adobe Exchange and authorized resellers. Trial is also available for download. The update is free for LinkOptimizer 5.x users and $130 to upgrade from previous versions. LinkOptimizer requires macOS 10.7-10.14 and Adobe InDesign / Photoshop CS5-CC 2019.

Improved Emoji Support Notarization by Apple Comes to KeyCue 9.2

Ergonis Software has released KeyCue 9.2, an update to the recently released major version 9 of the company’s keyboard shortcut and emoji tool. KeyCue’s original purpose is to help Mac users to learn and use keyboard shortcuts.

Improved Emoji Support Notarization by Apple Comes to KeyCue 9.2

Since version 9, KeyCue is also the perfect tool for discovering and using the constantly growing number of Emojis. While the online community loves emojis, people become more and more frustrated about the confusing multitude of slightly different emojis, which makes it tedious to choose and type the right one. This is where KeyCue 9 comes to help.

KeyCue 9 shows a table of all available emoji characters and lets you insert any emoji with a click. To find out more about a certain emoji, move the mouse pointer over it to see an enlarged view and a description of the emoji’s meaning. You can also enter a search term in KeyCue’s find field to focus on the matching emoji characters, or choose from the list of recently used emojis. Finding and typing the right emoji has never been easier. The new version enhances the Emoji feature with an improved calculation of Emoji metrics, better horizontal spacing, and by adding the flag of the United Nations to the Emoji table.

KeyCue 9.2 has also been notarized by Apple. This means that the software has been uploaded to Apple before distribution, and Apple has confirmed that all executables are signed correctly and that the app does not contain any malware. This is a security feature that all Ergonis products now carry.

The new version furthermore contains a number of enhancements and improvements like improved visibility of the menu scanning progress in Dark Mode, the ability to add custom menu entries to specific submenus, and more.

Visit Ergonis Software’s website to learn more about the changes in this release and to download and try the new version.

KeyCue can be purchased securely on the Ergonis Software website. The upgrade to KeyCue 9.2 is free for anyone who purchased a license for KeyCue 8 or KeyCue 9 on or after October 1st, 2017. Upgrade paths are available for owners of older licenses. All KeyCue 9 purchases (new and upgrades alike) include all subsequent 9.x upgrades at no additional cost.

Pocket Watch LLC Mobile App Development Team Acquired by Cybersecurity Firm SR2 Solutions

Beaumont, Texas – SR2 Solutions today announced the acquisition of Pocket Watch LLC’s app development division including their industry leading mobile printing app, ActivePrint. With this new acquisition, SR2 Solutions is planning to develop an entire suite of cybersecurity focused apps intended for everyone.

SR2 Solutions Founder, Charles Teel, says “we’re seeing new cybersecurity threats every day and this is likely to continue for the foreseeable future. We see it as our job to provide people with the tools they need to keep themselves and their families safe and that is what we plan to do with mobile app development.”

Over the next six months, SR2 Solutions will be releasing apps on the Apple iOS AppStore and Google Play Store that individuals will be able to use every day to protect themselves. The details of the first two apps were made public with the announcement of this acquisition. The first to be released will be “SR2 Threat Intel” which will provide users security information about their devices and alert them when there is the possibility that they have been caught up in a breach at their bank, email service, or other services where their personal information might be stored. SR2 Threat Intel will be released by February.

The second of these apps to be released, “SR2 SocialMedia Intel”, will monitor a user’s social media accounts and social media in general to identify potential vulnerabilities and alert them if someone else on social media has posted about them in a potentially bad light. According to Teel, “keeping track of how our name is used in the public space can be challenging in this hyperconnected world we live in with social media. Someone can post a total falsehood about you or your family that can negatively affect your reputation and your career as potential employers search social media in their consideration to hire you. We want to help people take control of how their name is used online in a way that is effective and can benefit them.” SR2 SocialMedia Intel is anticipated to be released by April.

Pocket Watch’s existing app, ActivePrint, will continue to be sold but under the new SR2 Solutions name. With ActivePrint users gain printing support for the widest variety of document types in the industry to the widest variety of printers. With ActivePrint users can print almost any content on their iPad or iPhone. Document types that you can print with ActivePrint include all of your popular office document types such as word processor documents (including Word and Pages), spreadsheets (including Excel and Numbers), presentations (including PowerPoint and Keynote), PDF files, web pages, handwritten notes, and all of your popular image types. ActivePrint is available on the iOS AppStore with an upgrade to the pro version for $4.99 (USD).
