Deliver Now Supports macOS Catalina

Zevrix Solutions releases Deliver 2.6.14, an update to the company’s file transfer solution with automatic email notifications. Deliver lets users send files over the Internet and offers file compression, delivery history, automatic PDF creation and other powerful capabilities. It supports FTP, SFTP, Amazon S3, WebDAV and other remote and local services, and allows to send files to multiple destinations at once.

Version 2.6.14 introduces support for macOS 10.14 Catalina and is offered as a free update to licensed users. Deliver has been notarized by Apple, which is a mandatory requirement on Catalina as part of Apple’s experimental security policy.

“Deliver is a Mac app that comes close to fulfilling the laundry list of requirements,” writes Natalia Nowak on Mac360, a Mac app reviews site. “It gives you a methodology and work flow to send files safely and securely to many users over the internet or to local, secure servers.”

Deliver automatically notifies recipients of file deliveries by email, which eliminates the need to compose and send confirmations for each transfer manually. Users only need to drop their files on the program’s icon to upload the documents to the desired destination. A customizable email confirmation will be automatically issued upon delivery. Recipients can download the file using a link in the notification email.

Key features:

  • Transfer files to FTP, Google Storage, Amazon S3 and other servers
  • Automatic email notifications based on variable templates
  • Compress files automatically (zip/dmg)
  • Hyperlink to file for instant download by recipients
  • Encrypt disk images with passwords
  • Create lo-res PDF on the fly and attach to e-mail
  • Transfer history

Deliver can be purchased from Zevrix website for $19.95 (USD), as well as from Apple Mac App Store and authorized resellers. Trial is also available for download. The update is free for licensed users of Deliver 2.x. Deliver requires macOS 10.8-10.15.

FontAgent Adds Catalina Support, Performance and Advanced Tagging

Insider Software announces FontAgent 9.5 for Mac, which adds support for macOS Catalina. Also included in update is faster activation, faster syncing and more robust tagging to the lengthy list of features. The new features help you organize, categorize, activate and visualize your fonts using FontAgent’s modern, customizable interface.

The new 9.5 release is compatible with Catalina (macOS 10.15) and takes advantage of the latest macOS platform functionality and APIs to optimize application performance, font activation and font rendering. V9.5 and V9 are also compatible with the Mojave and High Sierra releases of macOS, and both releases support Dark Mode.

FontAgent 9.5 widens font auto-activation support, so as you open documents in supported apps, FontAgent auto-activates them in macOS. Auto-activation now works in Adobe Creative Cloud 2019 (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and InCopy); the Affinity product suite (Designer, Photo and Publisher); and QuarkXpress 2018. Version 9.5 makes font activation two times faster, especially for large font sets and collections.

FontAgent 9.5 include vastly improved keyword tagging. You can tag fonts and sets to classify them by client, project, usage, topic, theme, appearance, job number–however you want. You can also use tags in smart searches and Smart Sets to preview, compare and activate associated fonts easily. And when you share fonts with other users, you share their tags as well. The V9.5 release increases UI responsiveness when updating and sharing server- and user-assigned tags.

Fonts activated in Monotype SkyFonts and Adobe Fonts appear automatically in FontAgent. The Monotype SkyFonts service offers access to over 11,000 industry-leading fonts including the popular Google Fonts library. Adobe offers access to thousands of fonts as part of their Creative Cloud subscription service. Both services are tightly integrated into FontAgent, so you can compare their fonts with each other and with your existing font library.

Version 9.5 improve the performance of its built-in font cache clearing. You have the choice of clearing caches–for the current user or for all users on your Mac–immediately or when you logout, shutdown or restart your computer.

FontAgent 9.5 is priced at $99 per user. FontAgent 9 users can update to V9.5 at no charge.
